2 nd European Conference on NTM
The second European conference on NTM will take place in Montigny-le-Bretonneux close to Versailles on June 25-27, 2018. Hear renowned international scientists talk about pathogenesis, host susceptibility, biomarkers, Buruli ulcers, drug resistance and participate actively by registering and submitting abstracts. NTM-NET Chair
The new NTM-NET chair is Jakko van Ingen.
In an online survey 97% of the participating NTM-NET members approved him as the new NTM-NET chair, on 8.9.2017 the TBnet assembly unanimously voted for him as the new NTM representative at the TBnet Steering Committee.

it has been too long that I informed you about current developments of the NTM-NET. There are enough reasons to do this now:
- Biennial NTM-NET meeting on Saturday 9th of September in Milano
First of all be invited to the next biennial NTM-NET meeting at the day of the opening of the ERS in Milano. The location will be a in the north-east of Milano, at the Ospedale San Raffaele. You will find informations on venue, access & program on our meeting webpages within the coming weeks. Please safe the date, send us suggestions for the program, and register with cehlers@fz-borstel.de. You find furtehr informations below in the attachted pdf file.
NTM-NET Meeting 2017

NTM Papers
We established a site where NTM-related publications will be automatically updated and linked to pubmed abstracts.
Patient Talk Point
A NTM patient talk point has been established, currently affiliated with the NTM-NET.
At the moment this is just an e-mail adress, but chatrooms and fora are envisioned (patients with respective skills are invited to step forward to help with its establishment. Please go here for first informations, also in German and French!
NTM-NET Forum
NTM-NET members can now use a forum for NTM-NET and NTM related questions and discussion on this webpage. Once members have logged in, they find a direct link in the Member menu. Please provide feed back for missing or wrong functionalities.
NTM-NET Consilium
We have started a NTM-NET consilium for difficult to manage NTM patients. This consilium can be used by all NTM-NET members and will be guided by a selected expert panel group. NTM-NET members have to login to the NTM‐NET webpage, in the „Members menu“ is a direct link to the consilium. There you will find more informations in the "About"-Tab and the PPT file to be used in the "File" tab.
Treatment adherence
A NTM-NET chart review of patients treated for MAC disease in the US, Japan and 5 European countries showed that the percentage of patients who received treatment with the recommended 3-drug macrolide regimen for >6 months differed strongly by country.

The NTM-World Map - the first completed NTM-NET project - has been published in the European Respiratory Journal.
CLOFAZIMINE IN NTM-PD
Clofazimine has been used as a salvage medication in NTM-pulmonary disease for many years. Yet no data are available on its effectivity. Jakko van Ingen has started to collect retrospective data on patients that have received Clofazimine for NTM-PD. The NTM-NET invites everybody who has used Clofazimine ín NTM-PD to collaborate in this retrospective study. For further informations, please contact Jakko van Ingen
